Long Track

Setters Place Outdoor Oval, Great Chief Park
Part of the legacy of the Canada Winter Games! We are excited to host our Long Track Meet in January on the new Oval at Great Chief Park, venue for Long Track at the 2019 Canada Winter Games. We skate outdoors from December/January to February, weather dependent. 

Short Track

Our season starts on October 2, 2018 at the Kinex arena until December. We resume Short Track after the Long Track season ends in February. 

Registration Night is September 18, 2018, at the Kinex Arena (6:30-8:30pm).

The Red Deer Central Lions Speed Skating Club is a community sports club serving Red Deer and surrounding area. The Central Lions club has sponsored our club for over 50 years. The Red Deer Central Lions Speed Skating Club has several programs, for recreational skaters to high performance skaters, from beginner to Special Olympics to world class levels! The Alberta Sports Hall of Fame has more on some amazing Red Deer Speed Skating Alumni including Jeremy Wotherspoon, Kevin Sirois, and Mike Reitmeier.

No matter what speed or ability, there is always a group for you!
